Heat by: Mike Lupica

1. A description about my book is Michael and his older brother Carlos love to play baseball. they are trying to make it to the world series. But when they are playing baseball there parents died the mom was from cancer and the dad was from a car crash. When there dad died we left some money over for a rainy day so they use that money to live because they have no adult to take care of them. they don't want to tell no one that they are living with no adult because they are scared they might get split up. Later on Michael is playing against his best friend Justin to go to the semi finals because if you lose you go home. So Justin is pitching and he hits Carlos in the head intentionally.

2. the introduction about the author is that we likes to explain a lot of stuff when we his writing

3. My opinion about the plot is that Michael doesn't want to tell nobody that he his living with no adult so him and Carlos tell no one and they always ask some one for a ride because they don't want to tell no one.

4. My personal suggestion is to read all of his books because he his a good writer and he writes a lot of books.

1. Rammon the thief steals Mrs. C new purse that is filled with money. Everyone sees rammon running away from the cops to a kid named Michael sees him to and he starts catching up to the robber because the cops are out of shape and finally Michael tackles him and before rammon wakes up he is already in hang cuff's and Mrs. C gets her purse back.

2.The setting they are in is in the Bronx, New York in a hot summer day when all the kids are outside playing some baseball. The setting and the conflict don't really go together because they are talking about different stuff.

3. Yes the culture plays a part of it because cops are always fat and out of shape and Rammons family always steals stuff.
